Decliners edged past gainers at Bursa Malaysia’s close on July 27, with Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N) recording the steepest loss while Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) led advancing stocks.
The market registered 547 losers against 531 gainers, while 564 counters finished unchanged. Total turnover stood at 2.87 billion shares valued at RM2.24 billion.
F&N topped the losers, falling 46 sen to RM27.84 on 48,000 shares, followed by United Plantations Bhd, which declined 42 sen to RM33 on 406,300 shares.
Ideal Capital Bhd dropped 24 sen to RM3.75 on 400 shares. Chin Teck Plantations Bhd shed 18 sen to RM11.16 on 600 shares, while Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd also lost 18 sen to RM31.82 on 4,400 shares.
Among gainers, MPI surged 98 sen to RM46.06 on 416,800 shares, while Nestlé (M) Bhd rose 68 sen to RM91.30 on 54,300 shares.
Batu Kawan Bhd gained 38 sen to RM21.18 on 200 shares, Petronas Gas Bhd advanced 30 sen to RM17.70 on 617,700 shares and Kelington Group Bhd added 20 sen to RM8.21 on 2.18 million shares.
