Ranhill Utilities Bhd recorded a 7.3% increase in revenue to RM657 million for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2026 (4QFY2026), from RM612.5 million in the preceding quarter.
The group said the RM44.5 million increase was mainly driven by higher revenue from its consultancy and services division, which contributed an additional RM50.8 million during the quarter, partly offset by slightly lower water revenue from Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd.
Profit before tax rose 40% to RM126.3 million from RM90.2 million in the preceding quarter, while profit after tax increased 17.3% to RM85.1 million from RM72.5 million.
The stronger pre-tax performance was mainly attributable to the recognition of a RM48.9 million 2024 Matching Grant by Ranhill SAJ.
This was partly offset by a RM13.9 million impairment relating to RSEIII business development costs.
RM million 4QFY2026 3QFY2026 Change Revenue 657.0 612.5 +7.3% Profit before tax 126.3 90.2 +40.0% Profit after tax 85.1 72.5 +17.3%
The results compare the quarter ended June 30, 2026 with the preceding quarter ended March 31, 2026.
Ranhill Utilities noted that no comparative financial information is available for the corresponding period of the previous financial year, following the change in the group’s financial year-end from Dec 31, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
As a result, the latest quarterly performance is presented primarily against the immediately preceding quarter rather than a corresponding quarter a year earlier.
The group attributed the quarter-on-quarter improvement in revenue largely to the consultancy and services division, while the recognition of the matching grant provided a significant boost to pre-tax profit despite the impairment charge.
