Bus Cap Bhd has appointed entrepreneur and strategic investor Teoh Keng Chang as a non-independent non-executive director, strengthening its board as the group explores growth in electric commercial vehicles and smart mobility.
The appointment takes effect immediately and supports Bus Cap’s post-listing strategy to expand beyond its core bus-building operations into new energy commercial vehicles, fleet solutions, lifecycle services and technology-enabled mobility.
Teoh brings experience in capital markets, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, private equity and cross-border investments.
He has also been involved in the automotive, electric vehicle, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and data infrastructure sectors, including engagements with China-based players to introduce commercial vehicle technologies and manufacturing capabilities into Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
Bus Cap Executive Director Bernard Ng Chong Yan said Teoh’s strategic investment and business development experience would support the group’s next phase of growth.
“While bus-building remains the foundation of the group, we see opportunities to expand into new energy commercial vehicles, fleet-related solutions and lifecycle services,” he said.
