Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has officially renamed its headquarters at Merdeka 118 as Menara Merdeka Maybank, marking the banking group’s presence at one of Malaysia’s most prominent landmarks.
The new name took effect on July 28, 2026, alongside a change to the bank’s registered headquarters address.
Maybank said its new registered address is: Level 70, Menara Merdeka Maybank, Presint Merdeka 118, 50118 Kuala Lumpur.
The move reflects the group’s continued consolidation of its corporate operations at the Merdeka 118 development, one of the tallest buildings in the world.
In conjunction with the headquarters rebranding, Maybank’s former headquarters along Jalan Tun Perak, previously known as Menara Maybank, has been renamed Menara Tun Perak.
Both building names officially came into effect on July 28, 2026.
Maybank assured customers that the renaming exercise will not affect its banking operations.
The bank’s Kuala Lumpur Main Branch will continue operating from Menara Tun Perak until further notice, with all banking services and customer accounts remaining unaffected.
Customers maintaining accounts at the branch do not need to take any action, as daily banking services will continue as usual.
The rebranding reflects Maybank’s transition to its new corporate headquarters while maintaining uninterrupted customer services at its long-established Jalan Tun Perak location.
