AME REIT To Issue 999,049 New Units As Payment Of Management Fees

AME Real Estate Investment Trust (AME REIT) will issue 999,049 new units to its manager, I REIT Managers Sdn Bhd, as payment for management fees incurred during the second quarter of its financial year ending March 31, 2027.

The industrial-focused REIT said the manager had elected to receive its fees in the form of new AME REIT units instead of cash for the period from April 1 to June 30, 2026.

The new units will be issued at RM1.5262 per unit, based on the five-day volume weighted average price (VWAP) of AME REIT units up to and including July 28, 2026.

The total management fees amount to RM1.52 million, comprising a base fee of RM762,751 and a performance fee of RM761,997. These will be satisfied through the issuance of 499,772 units and 499,277 units, respectively.

AME REIT said the issuance is part of the approval obtained from Bursa Malaysia in June 2022, which allows up to 30 million units to be issued to the manager on a staggered basis as payment for management fees.

Following the issuance, the REIT’s total listed units will increase from 532.03 million to 533.02 million, with the new units representing approximately 0.19% of the enlarged unit base.

The REIT added that its public unitholding spread will remainer the issuance.

The unit issuance mechanism enables AME REIT to preserve cash while aligning the interests of its manager with those of unitholders through equity ownership.
