A special parliamentary session will be held on Aug 11 to debate the Royal Commission of Inquiry’s (RCI) findings on Lembaga Tabung Haji, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.
Anwar said the report would be tabled at 10am, with proceedings continuing into the afternoon, following discussions with Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul.
The RCI report, released on the night of July 29, recommended a forensic audit of past investment decisions that caused a severe decline in Tabung Haji’s asset value.
The inquiry, which examined the institution’s management and operations between 2014 and 2020, identified several problematic investments requiring further scrutiny.
It also found evidence of suspicious transactions and alleged concealment of information.
