With Spider-Man: Brand New Day soon to release in Malaysian cinemas, so does HERO-CON.
HERO-CON turns Pavillion Damansara Heights into the Spider-Verse itself, with physical challenges like bouldering, crawling, and even becoming a human claw machine, cosplay, collectables, crafts, meet & greets.
From the 29th to the 2nd of August from 11am to 8pm, eager fans can happily engage in all things Spidey, enjoying all things our friendly neighbourhood hero has to offer. And the best part? It’s completely free.
Fans can choose to dress as Spider-Man himself or can choose to dress as the other members of the Spider-Verse, such as Gwen, Miles Morales, or even Spider-Man 2099. If that’s not your speed, you can still dress up as your favourite Marvel heroes, such as the Fantastic Four, the Punisher, Daredevil, or the Hulk, all of whom have teamed up with the webslinger in the comics. There’s a cosplay competition on the 2nd of August with prizes to be won, so dress up in your full regalia.
There’s more. Fans can even meet the iconic hero himself at 6:30 pm until the 31st of July, and 5 pm on the 1st and 2nd of August. They can also meet characters from our own local films like Boboiboy, Robozeta, Papa Zola, and Agents Ali and Alicia.
Lucky draws and contests are also part of HERO-CON, with amazing (pun fully intended) prizes to be won. Fans who receive their HERO-CON passport and complete the activities get to bring home prizes such as Poh Kong gold, TGV movie tickets, a Spidey themed gaming chair, and more.
And to top it off, TGV’s newest cinema in Pavillion Damansara is now screening Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Not only do fans get to enjoy Spider-Man in a convention, but they also get to see him on the big screen as well.
