Salmon takes centre stage at M Social Resort Penang’s latest dining offering, with a weekly buffet that explores different ways to serve the seafood favourite.
The Salmon Madness Buffet Dinner runs every Saturday at Beast & Butterflies, the resort’s signature restaurant, featuring a selection of salmon dishes alongside seafood, local favourites and international cuisine. The buffet is available from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm until September 26, 2026.
Rather than repeating the same spread each week, the buffet features two rotating menus. This allows diners to try different salmon dishes across multiple visits, from classic preparations to more local-inspired creations.
The menu includes dishes such as salmon sashimi, salmon gravlax, smoked salmon pizza, salmon Wellington and grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce.
Depending on the weekly rotation, guests may also find dishes including salmon head curry, salmon and leek pie, salmon floss fried rice, salmon in pineapple curry, creamy Tuscan salmon and salmon Alfredo pasta.
Alongside the salmon selections, the buffet offers a wider mix of dishes including seafood on ice, grilled seafood, chicken satay, Char Koay Teow, salads, desserts and local snacks. The dining area also overlooks the resort’s coastal surroundings, providing a relaxed setting for a weekend meal.
Jasmine Keh, General Manager of M Social Resort Penang, said the buffet was created to offer more variety than a traditional seafood spread by combining different salmon preparations with familiar local and international dishes.
The Salmon Madness Buffet Dinner is priced at RM138 nett for adults and RM69 nett for senior citizens and children. Buffet guests will also receive complimentary pool access and Wi-Fi during their visit.
