PLUS Malaysia Berhad will implement a temporary contra flow along the Bukit Gambir Interchange–Tangkak stretch of the North-South Expressway (NSE) in August to facilitate bridge beam launching works being carried out by a contractor appointed by the Public Works Department (JKR).
The traffic management measure will be implemented in two phases during night-time hours to minimise disruption to motorists while ensuring the safe execution of the construction works.
Under the first phase, a contra flow will be activated from KM165.9 to KM167.9 (northbound) between 3 and 6 August, while the second phase will involve the KM167.9 to KM165.9 (southbound) stretch from 10 to 13 August.
Both phases will be carried out daily from 10.00pm to 5.30am.
PLUS advised motorists to plan their journeys in advance if travelling through the affected section during the implementation period, adding that traffic diversions and temporary lane arrangements will be clearly marked.
