PBA Holdings Bhd has announced the cessation of Dato’ Seri Haji Zulkifli Long as its non-independent non-executive director following the end of his tenure as the Penang state government’s appointed representative on the board.
The water utility company said Zulkifli ceased to hold office as a government-appointed director with effect from Aug 2, 2026, pursuant to Regulation 102(1) of the company’s constitution.
PBA Holdings said it received a letter dated Aug 4 from the Penang State Secretary, who is the company’s special shareholder, informing it of the cessation. The board subsequently approved his departure on the same day.
The company stated that the cessation was due to Zulkifli no longer holding office as Government Appointed Director of the company.
