Boeing has expanded Boeing Composites Malaysia in Kedah with an additional 100,000 sq ft of warehouse and logistics space, strengthening production capacity as the aircraft manufacturer increases commercial jet output.
The expansion provides more storage for finished components and supports integrated logistics at the facility, which supplies composite products and subassemblies for every Boeing commercial aircraft model.
Boeing Composites Malaysia is the company’s first wholly owned manufacturing facility in Southeast Asia and employs about 1,150 Malaysians.
Managing Director Faisal Sraieldin said the investment would strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities, develop high-technology talent and reinforce Malaysia’s position as an aerospace production hub.
The company is also working with local technical institutions, including Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara and the Advanced Technology Training Centre, to develop workers with the precision skills required by the aerospace industry.
The expansion coincides with the facility’s 25th year of operations and supports Boeing’s efforts to meet rising global aircraft demand and customer commitments.
