Sun PhuQuoc Airways Launches Daily Kuala Lumpur-Phu Quoc Route

Malaysian travellers will gain a new direct island escape from Sept 1, 2026, when Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches daily return flights between Kuala Lumpur and Vietnam’s Phu Quoc.

The approximately one-hour-and-35-minute service will connect Kuala Lumpur International Airport with the popular “Pearl Island”, known for its tropical beaches, seafood, resorts and growing leisure attractions.

Flights will depart Kuala Lumpur at 5.20pm and arrive in Phu Quoc at 5.55pm local time. The return service leaves Phu Quoc at 1.45pm and lands in Kuala Lumpur at 4.20pm.

To mark the launch, the airline is offering one-way fares from RM370, alongside a 20% discount on base fares across all travel classes for eligible bookings outside peak periods.

Passengers will receive meals based on their selected fare class and a 23kg checked baggage allowance. The airline is also developing its “Resort in the Sky” concept, featuring upgraded cabin interiors, wireless entertainment, curated dining and selected hospitality privileges.

The new route strengthens tourism links between Malaysia and Vietnam while positioning Kuala Lumpur as a gateway for international passengers travelling to Phu Quoc through its extensive regional network.
