DPS Resources Bhd has partnered with Hangyue Intelligent Electrical Co Ltd to advance a proposed data centre (DC) in Bukit Rambai, Melaka, with a capacity of up to 89MW and plans to attract Chinese enterprises as long-term tenants.
DPS Group Chairman and Founder Tan Sri Dr Sow Chin Chuan said under the proposed collaboration, Hangyue will facilitate the colocation of Chinese enterprises at the facility, with proposed tenancies of at least 15 years and indicative rental rates of about US$130 to US$230 per kW per month, subject to definitive agreements.
“The partnership would help connect Chinese enterprises with investment and colocation opportunities in Malaysia while strengthening the value of the group’s Bukit Rambai assets,” he added.
He shared that the partnership remains non-binding, with both parties continuing discussions on commercial structures, technical requirements and potential long-term tenancy arrangements.
