Parts of Jalan Tun Dr Awang and Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim here will be closed intermittently at night for 28 days from Sept 23 to facilitate construction works for the Mutiara Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line.
Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) said the closures will be carried out from 10pm to 5am daily until Oct 21 for drainage and road widening works.
The affected areas include the right lane of Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim in front of Kompleks Sri Relau towards Komtar and the right lane of the slip road into Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim, after the traffic light junction of Jalan Tun Dr Awang and Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim near Kompleks Sri Relau, towards Sungai Ara.
The left lane at the traffic light junction of Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim and Jalan Tun Dr Awang towards Komtar will also be closed, while other lanes will remain open to traffic.
MRT Corp advised motorists to exercise caution when passing through the affected areas.
Traffic signs, cones and flagmen will be stationed at the locations to facilitate traffic control and ensure road users’ safety.
