Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Subang Sentral Sdn. Bhd. (SSSB), is disposing of seven parcels of land in Cyberjaya, Selangor, to Digital Cosmos Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. for a cash consideration of RM419.05 million.
The company confirmed that SSSB entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Digital Cosmos on August 7, 2026. Digital Cosmos Malaysia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Digital Cosmos (S) Pte. Ltd.
The transaction involves seven original land parcels measuring approximately 36.66 acres in aggregate, strategically located within Cyberjaya City Centre.
Following a process of land surrender and re-alienation, the parcels will be consolidated under a single new title deed measuring approximately 45.81 acres.
SSSB previously completed the acquisition of the original land parcels on March 17, 2025, at a total investment cost of RM299.7 million—comprising a purchase price of RM287.7 million along with RM12.0 million in stamp duties, registration, and professional fees.
MRCB stated that the proposed disposal aligns with its broader corporate strategy to unlock the value of non-core landbank and optimize overall capital efficiency.
The cash proceeds generated from the RM419.05 million transaction will be utilized to strengthen the group’s balance sheet by paying down existing borrowings, lowering overall gearing, and enhancing cash flow management.
Furthermore, the reallocation of capital will provide MRCB with greater financial flexibility to support its ongoing large-scale development projects and infrastructure pipelines.
