Asia File Corporation Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Higher Kings Mill Limited (HKM), has suffered a fire at its paper mill in Cullompton, Devon, United Kingdom.
The company said the fire occurred on 6 August 2026 and involved a paper machine located on the ground floor of the factory.
All personnel were safely evacuated before firefighters arrived, and no injuries or casualties were reported.
Based on a preliminary assessment by HKM’s engineering team, the affected paper machine is expected to remain non-operational for about one month while repair works are carried out.
Despite the disruption, Asia File said HKM currently has sufficient inventory to fulfil customer orders for approximately two to three months.
Management is also taking proactive measures to minimise any potential impact on the subsidiary’s operations and customer deliveries.
The company said it is currently assessing the full financial and operational impact of the fire.
