Sports Toto Bhd has disposed of shares in 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd and Berjaya Assets Bhd for a combined cash consideration of approximately RM16.61 million.
The company said its wholly owned subsidiary, Magna Mahsuri Sdn Bhd (MMSB), disposed of the shares through direct business transactions on 11 August 2026.
Under the transactions, MMSB sold 5.03 million shares in 7-Eleven Malaysia, representing approximately 0.45% of the company’s equity interest, for RM10.05 million, or RM2 per share.
It also disposed of 21.87 million shares in Berjaya Assets, equivalent to approximately 0.85% of the company’s equity interest, for RM6.56 million, or 30 sen per share.
Sports Toto said the cash consideration for both disposals was determined after taking into account the prevailing market prices of the respective shares at the time of the transactions.
Following the disposals, Sports Toto and its subsidiaries will retain approximately 7.89 million shares in 7-Eleven Malaysia, representing a 0.71% equity interest.
The group will also continue to hold approximately 29.35 million shares in Berjaya Assets, equivalent to a 1.15% stake.
The latest transactions reduce Sports Toto Group’s shareholdings in both listed companies while providing the group with RM16.61 million in cash proceeds from the disposals.
