EITA Resources Bhd has secured a contract worth approximately RM62.3 million to upgrade existing lifts and escalators at stations along the Kelana Jaya LRT Line.
The group said its wholly-owned subsidiary, EITA Elevator (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (EEM), accepted a letter of award dated Aug 11, 2026 from Prasarana Malaysia Bhd on Aug 12.
The award covers Work Package 1 – upgrading lifts and escalators at LRT stations from Gombak to Kelana Jaya, including the Subang Depot of the Kelana Jaya Line.
The contract is expected to be completed within 48 months from the commencement date or the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), whichever is applicable.
The contract comes amid complains from commuters over poor conditions of the systems which often breakdown or dont function at all. The Kelana line is among the earliest LRT system in Klanf Valley.
