CelcomDigi Berhad released its first half of FY2026, with service revenue rising 1.5% year-on-year (YoY) to RM5.43 billion, from growth in its Postpaid, Home & Fibre and Enterprise Solutions businesses.
For the second quarter ended June 2026, service revenue increased 1.4% YoY to RM2.73 billion, from continued momentum across its key growth segments.
The telecommunications group said earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) for 1H FY2026 improved 0.6% YoY to RM1.44 billion, supported by higher service revenue, lower operating expenses and continued cost discipline.
Profit after tax (PAT) for the first half remained stable at RM827 million.
However, quarterly PAT declined 7.7% YoY, mainly due to lower EBIT and higher net finance costs.
CelcomDigi said it realised RM100 million in savings during the second quarter, bringing total savings for the first half to RM141 million.
The company remains on track to meet its full-year cost-saving targets, with the savings driven by lower leased-line costs, procurement efficiencies and improvements across key infrastructure projects.
The group said continued cost discipline was supporting margin expansion as it works towards becoming Malaysia’s most efficient telecommunications operator.
CelcomDigi ended the quarter with 20.3 million subscribers, maintaining its position as one of the country’s largest telecommunications operators.
Growth in Postpaid, Home & Fibre and Enterprise Solutions continued to support the group’s service revenue performance, as it focuses on expanding higher-value connectivity and digital services.
The company also declared a second interim dividend of 3.4 sen per share, in line with its commitment to maintaining a sustainable dividend payout to shareholders.
