Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has acquired an additional 19.18% equity stake in ACE Market-listed ES Sunlogy Bhd for RM40.18 million, raising its total shareholding to 28.27%.
The construction group acquired 147.7 million ES Sunlogy shares through its wholly-owned subsidiary Acumen Marketing Sdn Bhd, with the purchase fully funded by internally generated funds.
Following the transaction, Kerjaya Prospek now holds 217.7 million shares in ES Sunlogy, making it the company’s largest shareholder.
The latest deal follows Kerjaya Prospek’s initial investment announced on July 16, 2026, when Acumen subscribed for 70 million new ES Sunlogy shares, representing a 9.09% stake, for RM18.76 million.
The additional shares were acquired through direct business transactions at an average price of 27.2 sen per share, representing a 28.42% discount to ES Sunlogy’s Aug 13 closing price of 38 sen.
Kerjaya Prospek Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Tee Eng Tiong said the larger stake would allow the group to take a more active role in ES Sunlogy’s growth, particularly in mechanical and electrical engineering and renewable energy.
He said the investment is also expected to create synergies between both companies and expand Kerjaya Prospek’s exposure to new business opportunities.
