The Shah Alam Line will begin paid operations tomorrow, following a six-week free travel period since its launch.
Rapid KL said in a statement today that fares will be charged from Saturday, Aug 15, 2026, including for feeder bus services and the Park N’ Ride facilities.
The move marks the next phase of the Shah Alam Line’s operations after the free travel period received a positive response from the public.
Rapid KL also thanked passengers for their support and confidence in using public transport throughout the free travel period.
Passengers are advised to make the necessary preparations before travelling by ensuring their cashless payment method is available and ready for use.
For passengers using cards, Rapid KL advised them to ensure they have a minimum balance of RM5.
Fares for the Shah Alam Line can be checked through the official MyRapid website or at stations before passengers begin their journeys.
Concession fares through the MyRapid Concession Card will also remain available to eligible groups including students, senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Eligible passengers can use their respective concession cards to enjoy the applicable fares.
Rapid KL also encouraged the public to continue using the Shah Alam Line as a convenient, safe and smooth option for daily travel.
