UEM Sunrise Named In Lawsuit Over Claims Alleged In Puteri Harbour District Cooling Termination

UEM Sunrise Bhd has been named as one of 13 defendants in a lawsuit filed by Jana DCS Sdn Bhd (Jana) at the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur over the alleged termination of historical district cooling agreements involving assets at Puteri Harbour.

UEM Sunrise is listed as the seventh defendant in the suit.

According to UEM Sunrise, Jana’s claims include allegations concerning the company’s involvement in the termination of district cooling agreements entered into by Jana and three other defendants in 2012.

The agreements relate to Puteri Harbour assets which are now owned by UEM Sunrise.

UEM Sunrise said it is currently reviewing the claims with its external legal counsel and will take the necessary steps to protect its interests.

“At this juncture, the financial impact, if any, cannot be determined,” the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
