Tomei Reported Slightly Lower 2Q PAT Of RM23 Million

Tomei Consolidated Berhad saw profit before tax rising 43.4%, year-on-year, to RM107.4 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, underpinned by higher gold selling prices and continued growth across both core business segments.

Revenue for 6MFY2026 rose 37.2%, YoY, to RM903.8 million from RM658.8 million previously, while profit after tax increased 41.8% to RM77.6 million from RM54.7 million a year ago. PBT margin improved to 11.9% from 11.4% and PAT margin strengthened to 8.6% from 8.3%.

The retail segment remained the Group’s key earnings driver where revenue increased by 40.6%, YoY, to RM748.1 million. Meanwhile, the manufacturing & wholesale segment recorded revenue of RM155.7 million, representing a 22.9% increase from RM126.7 million. The performance of both segments was supported by higher gold selling prices.

For the second quarter ended 30 June 2026, the Group recorded revenue of RM340.6 million, up 9.6% YoY as higher gold selling prices continued to support topline growth. PBT came in at RM31.5 million, with margin at 9.2% compared to 11.8% previously, mainly on account of higher operating costs during the quarter. PAT for the quarter was RM23.8 million.
