UEM Sunrise Bhd’s profit attributable to owners surged 47% to RM63 million in the first half of 2026 (1H26), from RM42.9 million a year earlier, driven by stronger property development contributions and revenue recognition from ongoing and completed projects.
Revenue for 1H26 rose 11% to RM953.4 million from RM860.1 million, supported by progress billings and contributions from developments across the Central and Southern regions.
Momentum accelerated in the second quarter, with revenue jumping 37% to RM605.7 million from RM442.4 million. Property development activities accounted for 64% of total quarterly revenue.
Operating profit increased 32% to RM77.9 million, while profit attributable to owners more than doubled to RM46.8 million from RM22.4 million, despite higher tax expenses.
As at June 30, UEM Sunrise had RM2.9 billion in unbilled sales, providing earnings visibility over the next 48 months.
The property developer maintained its FY26 sales target of RM1.3 billion and launch gross development value target of RM2.2 billion. It had already exceeded its full-year sales target by 13% as at end-June, following a capital partnership with Kio Investment Management for the Collingwood built-to-rent development.
UEM Sunrise said domestic property fundamentals remain resilient, with infrastructure catalysts including the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link expected to support longer-term demand, particularly in Iskandar Puteri.
