Alam Maritim Resources Bhd (AMRB) group managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Azmi Ahmad has been released from remand by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and will resume his executive responsibilities with immediate effect.
AMRB said Azmi had been officially released from remand by the MACC.
The company said Azmi would immediately resume all executive roles and leadership responsibilities within the group.
“The Board reiterates that the day-to-day business operations, financial position, and strategic governance of the company remain entirely stable and unaffected,” AMRB said.
The announcement follows the company’s previous disclosure on Aug 17 regarding the matter.
