EI Power Bhd recorded a normalised profit after tax (PAT) of RM12.3 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026, on revenue of RM45.2 million, as demand for mission-critical power solutions gained momentum alongside Malaysia’s data centre expansion.
The results mark EIP’s maiden financial announcement since its listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in May.
For the second quarter ended June 30, revenue rose 17.8% quarter-on-quarter to RM24.4 million from RM20.7 million, while normalised PAT increased 4.4% to RM6.3 million, excluding RM3.1 million in one-off listing expenses.
The stronger performance was primarily driven by engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) services for mission-critical power solutions, supported by rising demand from data centre projects.
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Ir Albert Chang Wan Siong said Malaysia’s growing position as a regional data centre hub, particularly in Johor and the Klang Valley, is creating opportunities for reliable power engineering solutions across data centres, artificial intelligence workloads, semiconductors and electronics.
The group is also eyeing opportunities in Thailand, where growing digital infrastructure investment and a sizeable pipeline of data centre developments provide another avenue for regional expansion.
Chang highlighted that EIP’s unbilled order book currently stands at RM219.8 million, providing project visibility into 2027.
