YouTube Premium Gets Pricier In Singapore With Family Plan Up 14%

YouTube Premium is raising subscription prices in Singapore, with the individual plan increasing to S$15.98 a month from S$13.98 while the family plan will rise to S$31.98 from S$27.98.

In an email to subscribers, YouTube said the adjustment would allow it to continue improving Premium while supporting creators and artists on the platform.

“We don’t make these decisions lightly, but this update will allow us to continue to improve Premium and support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube,” wrote YouTube.

The latest increase comes around two years after the previous price adjustment, when the individual subscription rose from S$11.98 to S$13.98. The family plan saw a much larger increase during that round, jumping from S$17.98 to S$27.98.

The latest changes mean the individual subscription is rising by S$2 or about 14.3%, while the family plan is increasing by S$4 or about 14.3%.

YouTube Premium in Singapore provides ad-free viewing, background play and offline downloads alongside full access to YouTube Music. The family plan covers up to six users living in the same household.

YouTube said its Premium service now has more than 125 million users globally.
