Geohan Corp Secures RM37 Million Earthwork Contract For KL Residential Development

Geohan Corporation Berhad unit has secured a Letter of Award valued at RM37 million from Chin Hin for a residential development project in Kuala Lumpur.

The job includes being appointed as the specialist contractor for earthworks, piling, and sub-structure construction for a high-rise residential development located in Kuala Lumpur. The development comprises two serviced apartment towers of 58 storeys and 55 storeys respectively, with a total of 1,546 units. The works are slated for completion by end August 2027.

This award propels Geohan’s year-to-date contract wins to approximately RM250 million, moving the Group closer to its FYE2026 target win of RM550 million. Meanwhile, its total outstanding order book rises to RM457 million. The order book remains well diversified across infrastructure, residential, and mixed development projects in Peninsular Malaysia. These progressive billings are expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings to Financial Year 2027.

Geohan also announced its financial results for the second quarter and half year ended 30 June 2026. For the second quarter, revenue leapt by 17.7%, quarter-over-quarter, to RM121.8 million, marking the Group’s highest quarterly revenue to date. For the cumulative six-month period, the Group recorded revenue of RM225.4 million and profit after tax of RM0.5 million, despite strong headwinds from higher building material costs amid heightened geopolitical tensions. There is no year-on-year comparison as Geohan was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities in December 2025.

Commenting on the contract award, Geohan Managing Director Lee Kim Seng said, “We are pleased to secure this high-rise development. While Geohan remains cautious amid prevailing industry headwinds, the opportunities secured over the past few months, together with a growing pipeline of emerging projects, have strengthened our optimism and confidence in the outlook ahead.
