Kuala Lumpur’s Monorail services are facing delays after a train component fault at Bukit Bintang station caused trains to operate at slower speeds.
Rapid KL said alternative train services have been activated to help passengers continue their journeys while technical teams inspect and restore the affected system.
Under the temporary arrangement, trains from KL Sentral will turn back at Hang Tuah Station, while alternative trains from Hang Tuah will turn back at Bukit Nanas. Trains from Bukit Nanas will then turn back at Titiwangsa.
The alternative services are expected to operate at intervals of between 16 and 18 minutes.
Technical teams have been deployed to carry out inspections and repair work, with efforts focused on restoring normal operations as soon as possible.
Rapid KL has also stationed auxiliary police and station personnel at affected stations to assist passengers and manage movement. Regular announcements on the service status are being made at stations and onboard trains.
