Tiong Nam Logistics Holdings Bhd saw its net profit surge 235% to RM13.4 million for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (1Q27), from RM4 million a year earlier, driven by stronger logistics earnings and a fair value gain on an investment property.
Group revenue rose 13.8% year-on-year to RM268.7 million from RM236.2 million, underpinned by robust demand for logistics and warehousing services.
Its core Logistics and Warehousing Services segment recorded a 14.7% increase in revenue to RM258.9 million, supported by higher volumes and new contracts from domestic and multinational customers across the food and beverage, automotive and technology sectors. Improved capacity utilisation and cost management also supported the stronger performance.
Tiong Nam is expanding its warehousing capacity to meet growing customer requirements, with new facilities in Johor, Selangor, Kelantan and Sabah set to commence operations progressively from FY27. The expansion will increase its nationwide warehousing footprint from 10.1 million sq ft to 11.5 million sq ft by FY29.
Meanwhile, property development revenue increased 7.3% to RM10.2 million, reflecting the timing of project progress and new launches. The segment also benefited from a RM17.6 million fair value gain on an investment property.
Managing Director Ong Yoong Nyock said Tiong Nam continued to secure long-term logistics contracts and handle higher shipment volumes from its diversified portfolio of consumer and industrial clients.
Looking ahead, the group expects positive performance in FY27, supported by further warehousing expansion, operational efficiency improvements and Malaysia’s manufacturing-driven economy. Its property business is also expected to benefit from southern Johor’s growth, including the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and the planned commencement of the RTS Link in 2027.
