Philippine fast-food giant Jollibee Foods Corp is moving to spin off and list its international business on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, shelving earlier plans for a US listing.
According to Reuters, the group is progressing with the separation of Jollibee Foods Corporation International (JFCI) ahead of the proposed spin-off and listing.
Jollibee said Hong Kong was a better fit given its existing presence and brand recognition in Asia, while also providing access to a broad pool of global and regional investors to support further expansion, including in North America.
The move comes as Hong Kong’s IPO market regains momentum where new listings raised about US$22.45 billion in the first half of 2026, up nearly 57% year-on-year and marking the city’s busiest first half in five years, according to LSEG data.
As part of the restructuring, Jollibee appointed its current chief financial and risk officer, Richard Chong Woo Shin, as chief executive officer of JFCI.
