The George Town-bound route along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway will be temporarily closed for three nights from Sept 7 to 9 to make way for ongoing construction of an elevated U-turn.
The closure and traffic diversions will be in place from 10pm to 5am each day, with the affected stretch covering the area from the Jalan Tunku Kudin junction to Jalan Ahmad Nor.
The elevated U-turn is part of ongoing works that will complement the Air Itam Bypass and is aimed at improving traffic flow along the expressway.
Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys, follow updated road signage and exercise caution when travelling through the affected area.
Further updates on road closures and traffic diversions will be issued as the project progresses.
