Langkawi is set to get a new marina destination, with Genting Malaysia and SUTL Enterprise announcing plans to develop ONE°15 Marina Langkawi at Resorts World Langkawi.
The marina is expected to have more than 90 berths, including capacity for superyachts of up to 140 feet.
The development will provide facilities for yacht owners, charter operators and leisure travellers. It also adds to Langkawi’s marine infrastructure as the island continues to attract visitors arriving by sea.
Its location could make it particularly relevant to regional cruising. Langkawi sits along the Andaman Sea between Singapore and Phuket, placing it on an established route for yachts travelling between the two destinations.
From the marina, visitors will be able to access yacht charters, island-hopping trips and sunset cruises. The site will also connect guests with Resorts World Langkawi’s existing accommodation, restaurants and entertainment facilities.
The project will form part of SUTL’s regional marina network, joining ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore and ONE°15 Marina Panwa Phuket in Thailand. Together, the three locations will offer stops across a key cruising route in the region.
The development comes as Langkawi continues to expand its tourism and marine infrastructure. The island forms part of a 99-island archipelago and is recognised as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
Genting Malaysia and SUTL Enterprise said the collaboration will focus on developing the marina for yacht owners, travellers and the wider boating community.
ONE°15 Marina Langkawi is expected to welcome its first yachts in the second half of 2027.
