Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will chair the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) Implementation Action Meeting in Sabah this Friday, as the Federal Government, Sabah and Sarawak continue discussions on matters concerning the agreement.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud said the meeting will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) and is expected to be attended by Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
“For everyone’s information, this Friday, 11 Sept, the MA63 Implementation Action Council meeting will be held, chaired by the Prime Minister, attended by the Sarawak Premier and also hosted by the Sabah Chief Minister.
“A special MA63 session will be held and I will answer matters related to it. I am ready to answer later,” he said after presenting contributions to fire victims at Kolej Tingkatan Enam Prauniversiti Kota Kinabalu today.
Mustapha said the meeting would serve as one of the key platforms for discussions on the implementation of MA63 between the Federal Government, Sabah and Sarawak.
The MA63 Implementation Action Meeting is also a key mechanism for discussing and coordinating matters concerning the rights and interests of Sabah and Sarawak under the agreement.
