Residents of KITA @ Cybersouth will get their first supermarket after LBS Bina Group Bhd formalised a tenancy agreement with Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd (MYDIN).
The supermarket will occupy about 1.37 acres with a built-up area of 24,000 sq ft, adding everyday retail options as the township’s population continues to grow.
The agreement was formalised on 5 September at the LBS Discovery Gallery in KITA @ Cybersouth, with LBS Group Executive Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. (Dr.) Lim Hock San saying the township’s amenities need to keep pace with its growing resident base.

The introduction of MYDIN as the township’s first supermarket is another step towards creating a more complete community, where everyday essentials are within easy reach. MYDIN Managing Director Datuk Wira (Dr.) Ameer Ali Mydin said the retailer’s decision to open its first supermarket in the township reflected its confidence in Cybersouth’s growth, particularly its young family population.
“This collaboration with LBS is significant to MYDIN, given its experience in developing established communities and new growth areas. Our decision to open MYDIN as the first supermarket in KITA @ Cybersouth also reflects our confidence in the strong potential of Cybersouth, which is developing rapidly and attracting a growing number of residents, particularly young families. KITA @ Cybersouth has an estimated population catchment of around 67,000 people, with about 63% of its purchasers aged 40 and below.
The 633-acre township has around 16,000 planned units, of which nearly 40% have been completed, while another 5% are under development. The remaining 55% are still in the planning stage.
The MYDIN supermarket will also complement KITA Avenue Square, where shoplots are currently under construction.
