MOH Submits Review Of FDS Allowance Since November 2025

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has submitted a proposal to review the allowance for personnel involved in the Flying Doctor Service (FDS) since November 2025, following claims that they receive only RM30.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the proposal was among the ministry’s efforts to ensure the welfare of healthcare personnel involved in the FDS is given due attention.

“One of the proposals we raised was the FDS allowance, which we had already raised last year, towards the end of last year, specifically in November 2025.

“We know that we need to provide what is appropriate. That is why we raised the issue of the allowance earlier,” he said at a special press conference on the FDS helicopter crash here today.

Dzulkefly said MOH is confident that the proposal will receive a positive response from the relevant authorities and that the ministry will update the media once a decision is received.

“Insya-Allah we will be able to provide the decision to our media colleagues as soon as we receive an update, insya-Allah. As soon as we receive the decision,” he said.

He was responding to claims on social media that healthcare personnel involved in the FDS receive an allowance of only RM30.

Health Director-General Datuk Seri Dr Mahathar Abd Wahab was also present.
