HHRG Redesignates Dato Ammar As Executive Director

HHRG Bhd has redesignated Dato Paduka Ammar Shaikh Mahmood Naim from executive deputy chairman to executive director, effective Sept 10, 2026.

The company said Ammar, 64, brings 35 years of experience in the public sector, primarily through his service with the Kedah state government.

He previously served as Kedah State Secretary, where his responsibilities included helping formulate a new direction for the state’s economic development. He remained in the position until his retirement from public service in 2022.

Ammar holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from California State University, Fresno, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco in the United States.

According to the filing, he has no family relationship with any director or major shareholder of HHRG and has no conflict of interest with the company.

Ammar directly holds 310,000 ordinary shares in HHRG, representing a 0.025% stake in the company.

The redesignation comes shortly after HHRG appointed Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed Azman Syed Ibrahim as executive chairman on Sept 4, marking changes to the group’s senior board leadership.
