Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s pardon application is expected to be among the matters discussed when the Federal Territories Pardons Board convenes at 8.30am tomorrow.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh confirmed that the board would meet tomorrow and said she had been called to attend the meeting.
“Yes, I can confirm that there will be a pardon meeting tomorrow at 8.30 am, we have been called,” she told reporters after launching the eighth phase of the Etiqa Free Mammogram Programme in collaboration with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia here today.
However, Hannah declined to comment further on the substance of the meeting.
Hannah sits on the Federal Territories Pardons Board in her capacity as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories).
The meeting comes after media reports that the Federal Territories Pardons Board was expected to convene this week, with Najib’s pardon application among the matters expected to be discussed.
