United Asiapac Gets Interim Injunction Against Winding-Up Petition Ahead Of Bursa Listing

United Asiapac Energy Bhd said the court has granted its subsidiary Asiapac Oil & Gas Sdn Bhd (Asiapac) an ad-interim injunction preventing a winding-up petition from being filed against the company, just days before United Asiapac Energy’s scheduled listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market on Sept 14, 2026.

The company said the court granted the interim order at a hearing on Sept 10, restraining the defendant, identified as FS, whether acting personally or through her employees, agents or servants, from presenting or filing a winding-up petition against Asiapac.

The injunction will remain in place pending the full and final disposal of Asiapac’s Fortuna injunction application.

The litigation had previously been disclosed as material litigation in United Asiapac Energy’s prospectus dated July 28, 2026 and supplementary prospectus dated Aug 21, ahead of its initial public offering.

Under directions issued by the court, the defendant is required to file an affidavit in reply by Sept 24, while Asiapac must file its affidavit in reply by Oct 8.

Both parties are required to submit their respective written submissions by Oct 22, with reply submissions to be made orally during the hearing.

The court has fixed Nov 5, 2026 to hear the Fortuna injunction application.

A Fortuna injunction is generally sought to prevent the presentation of a winding-up petition where the applicant contends that such a petition should not be allowed to proceed.

The latest court order comes ahead of United Asiapac Energy’s scheduled debut on the ACE Market on Monday, Sept 14, following the issuance of its prospectus in July and supplementary prospectus in August.

TA Securities Holdings Bhd is the sponsor responsible for United Asiapac Energy’s admission to the ACE Market.
