BYD Sime Motors has introduced the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance in Malaysia, bringing the most powerful version of the electric SUV to date with 330kW of combined output, 560Nm of torque and all-wheel drive (AWD).
To make the unveiling more special, BYD said only 69 units will be offered in Malaysia, a symbolic limited run commemorating the nation’s 69th Merdeka.
Priced at RM149,800, the limited-edition Performance sits at the top of the ATTO 3 range, above the Ultra and Premium variants, and is aimed at drivers seeking stronger performance without giving up the practicality and comfort of an everyday electric SUV.
Its headline performance figure is a 0-100 kmh sprint in four seconds, supported by an AWD system designed to deliver stronger response and improved traction across urban roads, highways and changing weather conditions.
The Performance variant is powered by a 74.88kWh BYD Blade Battery, offering a claimed 530km NEDC range and supporting DC fast charging of up to 220kW. By comparison, the Premium produces 230kW and 380Nm, while the Ultra delivers 150kW and 310Nm.
BYD Malaysia Managing Director Jacob Ma said the new variant takes the ATTO 3’s appeal a step further.
“With greater power, AWD function, advanced battery technology and intelligent features, it brings a new level of performance and driving excitement to a model Malaysians already know and trust,” he added.
Beyond performance, he shared that the ATTO 3 Performance adds a Windscreen Head-Up Display and, for the first time in the model line-up, a vehicle refrigerator with cooling and heating functions. It also comes with a tonneau cover for the rear cargo area, adding further practicality for owners.
At the same time, it also features enhanced driver-assistance systems including Intelligent Speed Limit Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Front Cross Traffic Alert and Front Cross Traffic Brake.
Cabin equipment includes a 15.6-inch centre screen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, 50W wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats. The Performance also comes with seven airbags and dual-zone air-conditioning.
The limited-edition model is available in Ski White, Atlantis Grey, Harbour Grey and Cosmos Black, with bookings open at authorised BYD showrooms.
