Berjaya Assets Bhd substantial shareholder Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun has reduced his deemed interest in the company following the disposal of 17.5 million shares through a direct business transaction.
The disposal took place on Sept 9, 2026 through Maybank Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd.
Vincent Tan is deemed interested in the shares by virtue of his interest in B & B Enterprise Sdn Bhd, which carried out the disposal.
Following the transaction, his indirect or deemed interest in Berjaya Assets stood at 307.53 million shares, representing 12.021% of the company.
He also continues to hold 372.48 million shares directly, equivalent to a 14.56% stake.
Combined, his direct and deemed interests amount to approximately 680.01 million shares, or about 26.58% of Berjaya Assets.
His deemed interests are held through several entities, including B & B Enterprise, Hotel Resort Enterprise Sdn Bhd, Berjaya VTCY Sdn Bhd, Berjaya Infra Sdn Bhd, U Telemedia Sdn Bhd and Prime Realty Holdings Sdn Bhd.
Following the latest disposal, B & B Enterprise holds 104.66 million Berjaya Assets shares.
