The Selangor government has raised the monthly household income eligibility threshold for its Kita Selangor Voucher programme from RM5,000 to RM8,000, thus allowing more families to benefit from the financial assistance initiative.
State Executive Councillor for Social Welfare Anfaal Saari said eligible recipients would receive vouchers worth RM600 to purchase essential items and services covering food, healthcare and education.
“The monthly household income limit for the Kita Selangor Voucher has now been raised to RM8,000 and below, compared with RM5,000 previously,” she said.
Anfaal added that the distribution of vouchers would be carried out in phases until December 2026.
The revised eligibility threshold expands the programme’s coverage to households earning between RM5,001 and RM8,000 per month, providing additional support for families managing their daily living expenses.
The latest revision, announced on Sept 21, further expands eligibility following an earlier move in August to include married households under the programme.
