Asia Internet Ceases To Substantial Shareholder Of Zetrix AI After 57 Million Share Disposal

Asia Internet Holdings Sdn Bhd has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of Zetrix AI Berhad, formerly known as MY E.G. Services Berhad (MyEG), following the disposal of 57 million ordinary shares.

The company said the share disposal took place on Sept 18, 2026, resulting in Asia Internet Holdings’ interest falling below the 5% threshold for substantial shareholders.

The filing did not disclose the transaction price, total consideration or the identity of the buyer.

Asia Internet Holdings is an investment holding company owned by Zetrix AI group managing director Wong Thean Soon, who is also a substantial shareholder of the technology group.

The latest transaction follows a series of share disposals involving Wong and Asia Internet Holdings in recent weeks.

According to an earlier Bursa Malaysia filing dated Sept 18, Wong disposed of 5.17 million Zetrix AI shares held directly and another 2.81 million shares held indirectly through Asia Internet Holdings on Sept 15.

Following those transactions, Wong’s direct shareholding stood at 507.11 million shares, representing 6.438%, while his indirect interest through Asia Internet Holdings amounted to 435.36 million shares, or 5.527%.

His combined direct and indirect interest stood at 942.47 million shares at the time

The latest disposal of 57 million shares further reduces Asia Internet Holdings’ shareholding below the statutory substantial shareholder threshold.

The Sept 22 announcement stated that the percentage of interest excludes 180.90 million ordinary shares repurchased by Zetrix AI and retained as treasury shares.
