China Based LB Group Investing RM1 Billion For New Chemical Facility In Gurun

China based LB Group Co., Ltd. a global leader in titanium dioxide (TiO2) and advanced inorganic chemical materials has announced started building a new facility at the Gurun Heavy Industrial Park in Kedah.

Spanning 60.1 acres, the new facility represents a total investment of RM1 billion (approximately USD245 million), with RM600 million investment for Phase 1. The company said the facilities will be developed in phases, with a planned annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes upon completion, strengthening LB Group’s manufacturing footprint and supply chain capabilities in Southeast Asia.

Liang Sun, Director of LB Advanced Materials Asia Sdn. Bhd. said “Establishing LB Advanced Material Asia allows us to better serve our regional and global clients while navigating international trade dynamics with greater flexibility.”

Accordingly, the project is expected to create over 300 skilled employment opportunities in the country.
