PMCK Berhad reported a 245.5% jump in net profit to RM3.05 million for the first quarter ended 31 July 2026, from RM0.88 million a year earlier.
Revenue for 1QFY27 increased 5.2% to RM22.89 million from RM21.76 million in 1QFY26, mainly driven by higher inpatient revenue arising from an improvement in inpatient admissions and bed occupancy.
During the quarter, the Group continued to participate in the Ministry of Health’s Hospital Services Outsourcing Programme (“HSOP”), which runs from May 2026 to September 2026.
The HSOP was the main contributor to the increase in inpatient activity, with higher HSOP-related case volumes compared with 1QFY26, when activity under the programme was at a relatively lower level.
Factors leading to the increase in net profit includes the absence of the one-off initial public offering (“IPO”) listing expenses incurred in 1QFY26, supported by higher revenue during the quarter. The Group also recorded higher other income, mainly from fair value gains on short-term investments.
