Zetrix Says Targets Sept 28 Dividend Payout In Reply To Bursa

Zetrix AI Bhd said it will take all necessary steps to ensure that its delayed final dividend of 2.89 sen per share is paid to unaffected shareholders by Sept 28, following further complications arising from legal proceedings involving a substantial shareholder.

In a reply to Bursa Malaysia Securities’ query, the company explained that the dividend payment, previously scheduled for Sept 23, was postponed after two nominees were allowed to intervene in injunction proceedings against its share registrar.

The two nominees are CGS International Securities Malaysia Sdn Bhd and CGS International Futures Malaysia Sdn Bhd, which represent two Central Depository System (CDS) accounts.

Zetrix AI said a consent judgment had initially been filed to expand the list of CDS accounts involved. However, the company subsequently made an incorrect dividend computation, resulting in a mismatch in the amount required to fund its designated dividend account.

Following the nominees’ intervention, the expanded CDS accounts needed to be reinserted into the dividend computation list, contributing to the further delay.

The company disclosed that the substantial shareholder filed an originating summons on Sept 11 and applied for an interim injunction on Sept 14. The Kuala Lumpur High Court sealed the injunction on Sept 15, and the share registrar received it on Sept 17.

The two nominees were allowed to intervene during a court hearing on Sept 24.

Dividend payments to shareholders affected by the legal proceedings will remain pending until the case is fully resolved. Zetrix AI declined to identify those shareholders, saying it was not a party to the legal case and did not wish to prejudice the proceedings.

The dividend relates to the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, and is subject to the company’s dividend reinvestment plan.
