Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) has disposed of 30 million shares in Velesto Energy Bhd, reducing its reported interest in the company to 31.908%.
Velesto Energy said the disposal took place on Sept 23 through AmanahRaya Trustees Bhd, acting as trustee for ASB.
Following the transaction, ASB’s remaining interest stood at approximately 2.64 billion shares, representing 31.908% of Elesto Energy’s issued share capital.
The disposal accounted for approximately 0.36 percentage points of the company’s issued shares, based on the shareholding figures disclosed.
Nevertheless, ASB which is owned by PNB remains a substantial shareholder in Velesto Energy following the transaction.
Velesto saw its share price drop 12% from the disposal and has declined 33% over the six month period.
