Leong Hup International Bhd said the Kuala Lumpur High Court has granted its wholly-owned subsidiary, Leong Hup Feedmill Malaysia Sdn Bhd (LFM), a stay of enforcement proceedings arising from decisions by the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) and the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT).
Leong Hup said the court on Sept 29 ordered a stay of all enforcement, execution, recovery and consequential proceedings pending the full and final disposal of LFM’s judicial review of the CAT decision.
The application for an interim stay had been heard and concluded on Aug 10, 2026.
The latest court order means enforcement action flowing from the MyCC and CAT decisions will remain suspended while the judicial review proceedings are determined.
The matter relates to an earlier decision issued by MyCC under Section 40 of the Competition Act 2010 involving LFM.
Leong Hup has made a series of announcements on the case since August 2022, covering MyCC’s proposed decision, subsequent proceedings before the CAT and the judicial review process.
The company said costs were ordered to be in the cause and that it will make further announcements as and when there are material developments.
