ZICO Trust (M) Bhd has appointed Datuk Dr Haji Mazlan bin Haji Ahmad as a Non-Executive Independent Director, bringing experience in governance, institutional oversight and public integrity to its board.
The appointment took effect on Sept 23.
Mazlan is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a Chartered Secretary with the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a Chartered Governance Professional with the Chartered Governance Institute.
He currently serves on the executive councils of both MIA and MAICSA, with his work including advisory and review roles involving institutions such as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission and Malaysia Productivity Corporation.
He has also been involved in a special task force relating to the Corruption Perception Index.
Mazlan said his experience in governance and institutional oversight would support the board in carrying out its responsibilities.

Mazlan also has business and academic experience, including as founder of Masyi Group of Companies, Deputy Executive Chairman of Yayasan Waqaf Pendidikan Anak-Anak Yatim Miskin Malaysia, Professor of Practice at INCEIF University and Adjunct Professor at the International Islamic University Malaysia.
