Malaysia Airlines Expands Indonesia Route Offerings With New Partnership

Malaysia Airlines forms partnership with PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), and Novus Technologies Pte. Ltd. (Novus) aiming to explore new opportunities across travel, commerce, financial services and digital innovation.

The partnership will focus on payments and financial services; foreign exchange and treasury solutions; data and artificial intelligence; marketing collaboration; and loyalty ecosystems. It establishes a framework for deeper collaboration to advance seamless cross-border payment experiences, optimise FX and treasury capabilities, harness data-driven customer insights, develop strategic joint marketing opportunities and synergies, and strengthen loyalty ecosystem integration.

Bryan Foong, Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business from Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said,“Through this partnership with BCA and Novus, we are bringing together aviation, banking and technology to create a more seamless and rewarding ecosystem for travellers and businesses. By integrating travel, payments, loyalty and digital capabilities, we aim to unlock new opportunities, strengthen connectivity and support the continued growth of the Malaysia-Indonesia corridor.”

The partnership builds on Malaysia Airlines’ strong presence and growing momentum in Indonesia, one of the airline’s key international markets. In September 2026, Malaysia Airlines was recognised as the Most On-Time International Airline 2026 by Indonesia’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The recognition reflects the airline’s continued commitment to operational excellence, with the Jakarta (CGK) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) route achieving a year-to-date on-time performance of 92.19% through August 2026 and demonstrating consistent improvement throughout the year.

The partnership aims to deliver greater value for both consumers and businesses. For consumers, it will enable a more seamless and rewarding experience across travel, payments, financial services, and loyalty programmes. For businesses, it seeks to facilitate smoother transactions, enhance cross-border commercial connectivity through integrated financial and digital solutions.

Through this strategic partnership, Malaysia Airlines, BCA and Novus will explore new ways to connect travel, financial services and digital ecosystems, supporting stronger economic and commercial links between Malaysia and Indonesia.
